Tumaro’s Gourmet Tortillas!

Posted on

A big thanks to Shelley from Tumaro’s for sending me a few samples of these fresh, organic tortillas for my review!

These guys come in 8” or 10” varieties in 6 total flavors including: Chipotle Chili & Peppers, Garden Spinach & Vegetables, Honey Wheat, Cilatro & Jalepeno, Pesto & Garlic, Premium White, & Sundried Tomato & Basil!

Certified by the American Heart Association, Tumaro’s tortillas are made of  87-89% organic ingredients, contain 0 grams of trans fats, and can be a zesty flavorful addition to any meal!

The nutritional stats for each variety is almost the same, with 120 calories, 2-2.5g of fat (.5g saturated), and 4g of protein!  Unbleached whole wheat flour make these tortillas exceptionally nutritious!

The flavor packed into these using spices is outrageous, too!  Each one tastes different!  The award-winning, Honey Wheat, Sun-Dried Tomato & Basil, and Jalepeno & Cilantro were my favorites!  They really made my tastebuds jump!  The others were good too, very fresh and soft, but the flavors were more subtle.  I like boldness!

I even used them to make my own tortilla chips!  Just spray with Pam, slice them into chip sized bites and bake them in the oven until crisp!  The Honey Wheat were excellent sprinkled with cinnamon & splenda!  🙂

Homemade Cinnamon Sugar Splenda Chips! 🙂

Tumaro’s also has created a Low-Carb line along with Soy-full heart flatbreads!  Maybe we’ll have to try to review them next!  Check here to find a store that carries them near you! Or shop online!

Thanks again, Shelley! 🙂
