I have never had something like this before.  The chewiness and smooth flavors blend while they melt in your mouth.  The chia seeds make the consistency so thick! And every once in awhile you feel a tiny bit of crunch

They may have 150 calories and 8g of fat, but lemme tell ya, they’re terrific.  Totally worth it. 

Chocolate Date Rolls

These Chocolate Date Rolls were really yummy too.  Very sweet!  I loved that I could pronounce and identify everything on each of the ingredients lists.  Simple and unique!

Hemp Brownies

Next up, the hemp brownies!  Now I know why the company has trouble keeping these in stock!  They were very energizing too, packing a decent amount of protein.  The texture was rich and dense which I loved too.  it was almost like they were “half baked” brownies”…YUM!

These also are packed with Omega 3 fats, more amino acids than soy, and as much protein as soybeans!  The essential fatty acids are great for reducing the risk of heart disease and boosting your immune system!  Can’t beat that for 120 calories, 6g of fat, 2g of protein, and 2g of fiber!  They’re also available in mulberry, walnut, and cacao nib varieties!

Goji Cherry Truffles

The truffles were excellent as well!  They come in Goji Cherry (sweet), Mayan (spicy), Dark Cacao (creamy), Coconut (tropical), Peppermint (cool), Cacao Nib (crunchy), and Hemp (savory).  I got to try the Goji Cherry and the Dark Cacao.  Their descriptions fit them each perfectly!  The Dark Cacao was extremely rich and creamy like deep, dark chocolate.  It was almost like a ball of fudge.  The Goji Cherry was very sweet but also had a tartness from it because of the dried cherries!  The perfect balance was definitely attained in the truffles.   I’d be curious to try the Mayan and the Peppermint, too!  They sound scrumptous!  Each of these truffles only had 70 calories, but they taste completely guilty!

Sunday Recap

I had all intentions of waking up an hour early to bike on Sunday morning, but I was SO incredibly sore.  I haven’t been sore since I played college basketball and was training 3 times a day, but those weighted frog hops at boot camp did me in! 🙂  It was a good sore, though.  When my alarm went off at 7AM, I decided I deserved to sleep in for all my hard work Saturday and reset it for 8AM.  Sometimes a girl just needs a little extra sleep!  I had this yummy banana nut combo for breakie:

In Sunday School, we were on our last chapter of “The Search for Significance” and I’ve got to say, I’m not ready for it to be over!  I’ve learned so much and I feel like it’s really helped me grow as a person.  It helps us understand why we feel the way we do sometimes and shows us to change the way the world can make us feel sometimes.

After church I came home and whipped up a quick lunch of voskos + pumpkin

Then I cleaned, got ready for the CASTING CROWNS CONCERT, and watched the US vs. Canada hockey game until it was time to pick up my cousin!  I tried to fit some biking in, but apparently, I wore out the bicycle.  The belt on the inside is DONE.  😦 

I also packed dinner for eating at the concert and hid it in my purse to get past security 🙂

Saturday Recap

Saturday morning came, and this girl was pretty excited

I got a text at 6:30AM from our yoga instructor who is also a personal trainer, letting us know that she would be having a “boot camp” class at 7:30AM before our 8:30AM yoga class!  I was so pumped.  Usually the boot camp classes are before work on Tuesdays and Thursdays so I can’t make it.  We only have one shower in our house and since my Mom goes, we would both need to use the shower at the same time to be able to get ready for work in time, which wouldn’t work out. 

Before I went, I had a quick breakfast of this guy:

Boot Camp consisted of many fun activities.  Jump rope, weighted frog hops, hip lifts, planks, side planks, weighted moon flowers, tricep dips, and squats.  Following boot camp, we had yoga.  It wasn’t too intense of a yoga session, but it felt good to stretch after boot camp, nonetheless.  After yoga, I changed into my running gear and hit the road.  I ended up running about 6 miles, and back home.  Upon arrival home, I hit the stationary bike for about 40 minutes

Afterward, I made a quick snack of some fat free cottage cheese with sugar free log cabin syrup drizzle:

After my snack, I got a shower and got ready.  My sister and I were going with my Dad to visit my Grandma & Pap Pap who recently moved to Mt. Joy, about an hour from us.  My grandma just had foot surgery, so we wanted to check up on her.  We stopped at Sheetz on the way to pick up some lunch!

I’m sorry, I don’t always have a camera available since mine is currently broken.  It looked a lot like this though:


I got the chef salad with all turkey instead of ham&turkey, romaine lettuce, tomato, onion, jalepenos, banana peppers, cucumbers, green peppers, salt, and pepper.

I also snagged a bag of Sugar Free Black Cherry Jello bites and some liquid crack.

After visiting them for awhile, I snacked on a cup of coffee & an apple.

Then some strawberries and baby carrots.

I guess that much exercise in the morning makes your appetite rage the rest of the day!?

On the way home, around 6PM, we called the local chinese joint to order some dinner.  I got the steamed shrimp with steamed vegetables, the usual.
