Thank you, Nicole, from Herbal Water, Inc. for sending me a case of each of the Ayala’s Herbal Water flavors to try for my review! Ayala’s is the first nationally available organically certified enhanced flavored water made with all organic ingredients.
I love that their philosophy includes the fact that they believe in real foods for nutrients as oppposed to artificial ingredients. They recognize that herbs, fruits, and vegetables are timeless sources of these nutrients. In addition to making food and beverages taste better, herbs are also a great souce of antioxidants!
I also love that the company refuses to use any preservatives or artificial ingredients. Simply purified water and natural herbs. Each of the flavors has a clean and pure taste. It makes you feel like you’re completely detoxifying your entire body when you drink one. Without the added sweetness, they are generously sized bottles of USDA Organic Certified uniquely blended water & herbs. The flavors are pretty unmistakeable too!
Lemon grass Mint Vanilla, Lavender Mint, Lemon Verbena Geranium, Cloves Cardamom Cinnamon, Cinnamon Orange Peel, and Ginger Lemon Peel.
I really loved the Lemongrass Mint Vanilla. The lemon grass was subtly laced with the comforting taste of the REAL vanilla bean and the perfect hint of spearmint was added to the effect. I loved the lightness of the flavor. It was most appealing for its distinctive aroma and refreshing qualities. The lemongrass had an almost calming effect, almost causing me to sigh inside while consuming.
If you’re in need of a “wake up” water, I recommend the Cinnamon Orange Peel or the Ginger Lemon Peel. The Cinnamon Orange gets its kick from the spice of the cinnamon and a bright aroma from the orange and Ginger Lemon Peel takes on the boldness of the ginger root with the fresh light citrus aroma of the lemon peel, sure to perk you up at first sip!
The Lemon Verbena Geranium uses the rose geranium to add a romantic touch to the flavor of this water. The lemon verbena gives you a fresh finish with a hue of clean fruit taste.
The Lavender Mint was another great combo, which featured thyme in the mix as well. It had a delicate sweetness to it that was completely natural and powerful.
The only flavor that I didn’t care for was the Cloves Cardamom Cinnamon. It wasn’t that it tasted BAD, it just tasted a bit more concentrated than the other flavors. Very bold. It did, however have a warming, rich aroma due to the cardamom, and the flavors were distinct. I think I just wasn’t ready for the punch when I drank it because the others were so light and airy.
