WOW Bakery

Posted on

Wow Bakery has certainly exceeded my expectations with their delicious wheat & gluten-free baked goods. Using all REAL vanilla, REAL butter, and organic cane juice, they make these moist, gourmet cookies available for anyone to enjoy.  Thank you so much to Jenn for letting me be apart of it by sending me some products for review!

I loved that the company uses no artificial ingredienthydrogenated oils, , or refined sugars, either!

They’ve got individually packaged cookies, cookie dough, boxes of cookies, bakery tubs, and cake mix available for purchase on the site and Jenn kindly sent me each of the individually packaged goodies to try!  I received each of the following: Ginger Molasses, Chocolate Chip, Snickerdoodle, Peanut Butter, Oregon Oatmeal, and a famous Brownie!

As soon as I saw that they had arrived, I had to have a taste of each 🙂

Chocolate Brownie.

My favorite was this chocolate piece of heaven.  Just one nibble and I was smitten.  It had a fantastic moist, chew to it that was almost like eating the fudgy batter half baked.  It was VERY thick and rich, too!  This was no ordinary brownie.  Each brownie contains 2 servings.  The nutritionals weren’t GREAT, but it’s a brownie! What do you expect?

161 calories, 9g fat (5g saturated), 2g protein, 1g fiber.

Oregon Oatmeal.

Each of the cookies tasted fantastic in their own ways, but I particularly loved the Peanut Butter & Oregon Oatmeal the best.  The oatmeal was sweet and tart from the bits of cranberries & apricots throughout! Just like homemade.  Chewy and delectable.  On the other hand, the peanut butter was salty from the peanut taste & sweet all at the same time, which completely melted in my mouth.  The texture was awesome too! The peanut butter cookies used all natural CRUNCHY peanut butter which tasted amazing.  Each of the cookies were equally as thick as the brownie, which is probably why they are 2 servings per cookie.

Each Peanut Butter cookie contained 170 calories, 10g fat (3g saturated), 4g protein, and 1g fiber per serving.  That’s not too shabby for a cookie! Especially when considering the size & the TASTEE 🙂

Snickerdoodle.

The Snickerdoodle cookie, a new addition to the Wow cookie family, was a treat as well, featuring cinnamon & sugar dustings on each.  Simple & sweet.

Ginger Molasses.

The Ginger Molasses cookies go great with herbal tea or coffee as a morning delight as part of breakfast or afternoon snack with real bits of ginger pairing with the natural sweetness of the molasses.

Chocolate Chip.

The Chocolate Chip is always a classic as well.  It’s doughy innards really come to life if you pop it in the microwave for a few seconds and the chocolate chips get all melty and gooey.  Basically, it gives you that “straight from the oven” effect!  Mmmm.  Comfort food at its best.

You can order yourself some online or find a retailer near you!

Perfect Timing.

Unfortunately, the title of this post is intended to be taken in the most sarcastic way  possible.  I’ve got a date Saturday night and am supposed to be going out with some friends tomorrow night, and wouldn’t you know it…I start breaking out like you wouldn’t believe.  UGH.  What that heck.  I feel like I’m growing three horns right now.  It makes me wish I could just hide away from the world until it’s all gone.

Now that I’ve vented about my skin situation, here’s your verse of the day 🙂

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”- Joshua 1:9

Next up:  Recap from last night…So, I got home from work and started the typical routine…biking & facebooking…Then I had the brilliant idea to start watching “What Not To Wear” online!  I love that show, and watching the clips made time on the stationary bike completely fly by!

600 calories down, thanks to Stacy & Clinton!

After the first hour, I took a break to make this for refueling.

Sweet potato mash with sugar free syrup & cinnamon.

I love those microwavable sweet potatoes.  They come out perfect evertime and don’t cost as much (energy wise) to heat up the oven for baking one.

When I was finished biking, I decided on a turkey wrap with veggies & salsa.

nom, nom.

After my shower, I was still craving veggies, so I made some veggie soup with the bella.

Step one: steam veggies (whole bag!) in the microwave & add salt, pepper, 1/2 mini can of sliced mushrooms, garlic salt, & minced onion.

Getting down to business.

Step 2:  Blend in bella until smooth (you can leave some veggie chunks if  you prefer!)

Bella, doing her thangg. 🙂

Step 3: Ignore the fact that it reminds you of baby poop, visually, and enjoy!

Almost done!

Mmmmm. This is definitely a comfort food for me.

Dessert was a plain greek yogurt + diet hot chocolate + fiber one.  AKA, a S’MORE in bowl form! I have a photo, but for some reason I can’t get it to upload correctly.  It’ll be edited to add later, I promise 😉

After dinner, I packed my lunch to avoid cleaning up two messes.  Today I’ll be enjoying some buffalo chicken salad (1/2 can white meat chicken + 1/3 C. ff cottage cheese + Texas Pete hot sauce + 1/2 tsp. ranch seasoning)

Not the most appealing at a glance, but boy is it tasty!

This stuff is AWESOME, btw.

Texas Pete.

I also packed a light 100 calorie english muffin to spread the buffalo chicken salad onto and a big container of veggies, too!

Orange pepper, sugar snap peas, broccoli & carrots (on the bottom).

After all that was finished, I sat down to watch 300 with my Dad until it was time to pass out!

Hope you all had a fun night and a great Thursday!
