Baker Street Bread!

Being the best isn’t easy.  Making a name for yourself in one of the most popular cities in the country, aka the city of brotherly love, is even harder. 

Baker Street Bread allows its breads to speak for themselves.  The company was created to “put the flavor-and heart-back into bread“.  I say, mission accomplished.

Since I live about 4 hours from Philly, the kind folks at the company sent me an enormous box of their best Artisian loaves to indulge in

This bakery is the REAL DEAL.  They use ovens designed to replicate the brick and stone ovens used by European baking guilds, for authentic, delicious loaves and are opposed to ruining the breads with additives and preservatives! They give the bread time to fully develop flavor and characteristics, no matter how long it takes.

In fact, I suggest that if you are anywhere in the vicinity of 8009 Germantown Avenue in Philadelphia, PA, you high-tail it to Baker Street Bread immediately and snag yourself a fresh baked, warm-from-the-oven hunk of Raisin Walnut bread (my favorite, of course ;)) 

They even sent me an ingredients list so that I could see all the goods!  I was highly impressed with the wholesome, natural ingredients put into each handcrafted recipe.

“**Whole Wheat Raisin Walnut- Whole Wheat Flour, Wheat Flour, Cracked Wheat Berries, Wheat Bran, (raisin and walnuts), Natural Levain Starter, Barley Malt, Filtered Water, Salt, Yeast

 I heated mine up until warm (faux-oven baked) in the microwave just for a few seconds until the raisins were plump and the sweetness was enhanced.  It was phenomonal.

The fun doesn’t stop there, though…they’ve managed to create the ultimate focaccia, ciabattini rolls, francaise, challah, brioche, french baguettes, hoagie rolls, and pullman & square loaves!

Go there, now.  Thank me later 🙂 Orrrr, order some online (you should actually do both).  If you’re a restaurant owner, I promise you, it will behoove you to use Baker Street Bread at your place.  Your customers WILL notice a difference.

  3. We use Baker Street Bread at the Cocoa Beanery (off Bullfrog Valley Road in Hershey, PA)! It truly is the best bread I have ever had! We use their multi-grain & the walnut raisin!

      • For multi-grain: turkey & provolone sandwich, grilled cheese…For Raisin: Roasted Apple & Goat Cheese sandwich, Egg Salad Sandwich, Chicken Salad Sandwich, and Balsamic Turkey Sandwich. Our customers LOVE the bread!

    Thanks for all of the fantastic reviews! We were honored to be included 🙂 Though we do not “ship” our bread we deliver throughout Philadelphia & most of the surrounding suburbs in the area. We also use distributors that send our bread from New York to Florida!!!
