Gevalia Kaffe & Giveaway!

Posted on

Courtesy of MyBlogSpark & Kraft Foods, the makers of Gevalia Kaffe, I had the opportunity to try a new-to-me coffee brand that I’m head over heels for.  I can be somewhat of a coffee snob sometimes *cough, Starbies*, but I realized after trying this stuff out, those Swedish folks know good java.  With a promise of “rich, never bitter”, Gevalia offers a ton of different options to suit any palate.  From intense dark roasts to exotic varietals, Gevalia offers over 40 premium coffees. Carrying on the legacy of Gevalia founder Victor Theodor Engwall, our coffee buyers travel the globe in search of the best beans available. When they journey to the slopes of Mount Hualalai, Hawaii, you can be certain our buyers won’t settle for anything less than the perfect velvety-smooth, mildly acidic Kona bean. And when our buyers visit the Malabar Coast of India, we guarantee they won’t be coming home until they’ve purchased the finest crop of full-bodied Indian Malabar tempered with slight accents of honey and clove flavoring.

All that effort comes together with every cup of Gevalia that you brew. From the alluring aroma that greets your nose as you open the package to each cup’s full-bodied flavor, we’re confident you’ll agree that Gevalia is a genuine premium coffee lover’s delight.

  • Gevalia Traditional Roast (ground and whole bean):
Gevalia Traditional Roast provides a perfectly balanced taste every time. Our most beloved blend – made of choice, mountain-grown Arabica beans – this coffee has a distinctive body and flavor with a lighter intensity. (Medium Roast).
  • Gevalia House Blend:
A Gevalia favorite, House Blend is a robust yet never bitter coffee. This roast has a captivating aroma that is only matched by its exceptional flavor. (Medium/Dark Roast).
  • Gevalia House Blend Decaf :
Delivering the same rich, never bitter flavor, House Blend Decaf has the same robust taste without all the caffeine. (Medium/Dark Roast).
  • Gevalia French Roast (ground and whole bean):
Gevalia French Roast is a coffee of impressive richness and dimension, expertly crafted from prized Arabica beans grown in Colombia and Brazil. Hints of aromatic smoke give this dark-roasted French Roast blend an intense, yet uniquely satisfying flavor. (Dark Roast).
  • Gevalia Colombia:
Grown high in the Colombian Andes, these beans produce a rich, bright and well-bodied Colombian coffee. This single origin classic is world-renowned, which is why we have sourced these beans for decades. (Medium Roast).
  • Gevalia Espresso Roast:
Gevalia Espresso Roast is made of premium, mountain-grown Arabica beans from East Africa and Central and South America. This roast is bold and full-bodied with a hint of caramel undertones. (Dark Roast).
  • Gevalia Vanilla:
This rich blend with vanilla flavor notes is crafted from choice mountain-grown Arabica beans, then roasted for exceptional body and flavor. Gevalia Vanilla is a flavorful and balanced experience with a heavenly aroma.
  • Gevalia Chocolate Mocha:
Gevalia Chocolate Mocha allows you to indulge your passion for decadent flavor. Rich, velvety chocolate flavor is blended with mountain-grown Arabica beans for a sweetly satisfying experience.

This coffee is delicious, and I cannot wait for warmer weather, so I can keep a pitcher of it iced and in the fridge! YUM.

MyBlogspark & Kraft Foods have also generously provided a giveaway for a lucky reader to win the same package that they sent me for the review!

Yoplait Chocolate Banana Smoothies & A Giveaway!

One of my favorite flavor combinations, chocolate & banana, have come together in the newest edition to the family of Yoplait Smoothie mixes (found in the freezer aisle!)  Its cousins, Strawberry Banana & Triple Berry are probably a little jealous of this decadent rival!

These yummy, guilt-free smoothies have just 130 calories per serving and are a perfect supplement to your breakfast or even would qualify as a dessert, in my opinion.  I blended mine up with some almond milk and it was SUPER creamy!  My new favorite way to get 50% of my DV CALCIUM.

Remember when I showed you my package by Betty Crocker through MyBlogSpark ?

Complete with a neck pillow, a free coupon for the product, a sweet dome lidded reusable tumbler, and an eye mask, I really got the hook up!  You can win the SAME package courtesy of MyBlogSpark, just by entering on this post in a bunch of different ways.

Cascade Complete All-in-1 ActionPacs

Posted on

Thanks to MyBlogSpark and Proctor & Gamble, I had the recent opportunity to participate in the Cascade Complete 24 Hour Challenge, putting Cascade’s new Complete Action Pacs to the test!

Seeing as how I was going on a week and 1/2 vacation, and these little guys are super easy to pack, I figured it would only make sense to bring them along as an easy clean up for nights that we cooked in at the beach house!

What a PERFECT idea that turned out to be.

For any of you who haven’t seen or heard about these awesome little gel packages, here’s the scoop:

Cascade Complete All-in-1 ActionPacs™ combines the best of powder and gel in one powerful pac to conquer tough food cleaning and greasy messes. It pre-treats, fights stains, and rinses away tough food particles; all while fighting through layers of residue and leaving nothing behind but shine.

Simple as that!  Thankfully, we could spend the majority of our time at the beach out and about, enjoying one another’s company, and sight seeing, rather than cleaning up in the kitchen after dinner!  It was such an easy fix!

With this easy of a clean up, the possibilities are endless at dinner time!  🙂

Thanks so much, P&G + Myblogspark!

Filth Of The World.

This morning, breakfast was a peanut pasted oatcake and I was pretty pleased with it.  I’m already contemplating when I should order my next batch of peanut flour.  I could seriously incorporate it into every meal if I wasn’t afraid of running out too soon.

(1/3 C. oats, sugar-free vanilla Torani, cinnamon, 1 egg white, splash of almond milk, peanut paste: 1/4 C. peanut flour + sugar free syrup & water to thin)

The sidewalks on the way to work were a complete sheet of ice.  A kind man that walked in around the same time I did asked to escort me to my building to make sure I got there safely.

I found out through basic conversation that he has two twin (adorablee!) girls and that he works for Labor & Industry, just across the street from me.  Later in the morning, he emailed me with a picture of his little ones!

Something else new in my world is this Vera Bradley purse & wallet.

I actually won them in an auction on Ebay for WAY cheaper than retail value.  It came with the purse, a cute wallet, and an ID holder!  I’ve been wanting some Vera Bradley for a long time now.

Do you like the print?

Anyway, lunch came around 12ish…maybe a little bit after.

(L-R: Arnold 10 grain bread with a smear of peanut flour paste & sugar free strawberry jam, a peanut paste ramekin with baby carrots for dipping, and a steamed kale and red pepper salad with a drizzle of fat-free Annie’s mango dressing)

Don’t mind the desk objects that might be a little distracting.  My desk is packed full, so when I eat lunch, there isn’t much room for dining.

After work and before practice, I had my very last individually wrapped Granola Gourment bar that company sent me to try out.  I’ve got to admit, this was my least favorite flavor, but it certainly gave me a nice energy boost to fuel me through a gym workout and then practice.

I forgot to bring my heart rate monitor, so I have no clue how many calories I burned, but I’d imagine it was in the 600 range.

(2/3 C. frozen spinach, 1/2 C. almond breeze, 1/2 scoop vanilla whey protein powder, 3 ice cubes)

When I got home, I whipped up a protein shake and warmed some leftover cabbage/kale soup for dinner.

Sorry for the repeat photo.  I didn’t have much time last night, since D was coming over and I wanted to get a shower beforehand!

We watched SALT last night with Angelina Jolie.

[source]

It was pretty decent!  Lots of twists and turns in the plot.  I’m pretty sure D had it figured out, though 😉 I got to bed around 12PM when I got the text that D had made it home safely.

I had a mug full of chocolate & banana nut mixed cheerios with almond milk before bed, too.  No photo documentation needed.  If you want to know what it looks like, here you go.

Other exciting events include Julie’s Macaroon giveaway!  This girl freaking rocks…and this prize looks awesome!

The winner of the MyBlogspark and Cheerios Biggest Loser giveaway is The Hungry Dancer, by random selection!  Seems to me, many of you are gunning for the same team she loves!

Congrats, girly!  Please email me at freckledfoodielove@gmail.com with your shipping address so I can get you your prize!  Thanks to all of you who entered!
