I’m baaaaack.

It’s been a great, fun-filled weekend, but it’s time to get back to business! 🙂  Like usual, I do apologize for the absence over the weekends, but I prefer to be out and about enjoying life on the weekends, rather than behind my keyboard (as I encourage all of you to do the same!)  I had off work yesterday, too, so it was a nice extended weekend to boot!

In the blogosphere, I’ve already seen tons of new and exciting giveaways going on!  Morgan at Liveloveeatandplay is giving away these adorable GLITTENS, AnAppleADay is having a Chobani giveaway and a  Theo Chocolate Giveaway, and Katie of Chocolate Covered Katie is having an amazing giveaway of a brand new VitaMix!  And topping my list, is Janetha at Meals & Moves who is having a giveaway courtesy of Lisa Leonard designs!  Totally gorgeous jewelry.

A few highlights over the weekend were:

•  My Grandma’s 70th birthday party!  She was so surprised that she wouldn’t come in right away.  She said she didn’t look presentable so we had to wait for her to run home to shower and get dolled up before we could start partying 🙂  Haha.  She’s so cute.

• An AWESOME praise & worship night at Clarks Valley Zion EC Church on Saturday night after my dinner with Ryan. 
  • A fun lunch with friends and family at Texas Roadhouse for Hainey’s birthday after trying a new church at Christian Life Assembly, where my sister goes every week while at school, along with a lot of other Messiah students.  I ordered the Coutry Veg Plate which was my choice of 4 sides:  baked sweet potato (no toppings), 2 steamed veggie servings, and a side salad (sans cheese & croutons) w/ vinegar on the side for dressing.

  

  • The Bachelor last night!  The stalker, aka Michelle, finally got kicked off the show!  This chick just wanted a husband.  She didn’t really care if it was Jake or not.  Haha.  I really was worried that she was going to do something crazy when he told her to leave!  We had a blast at girls’ night making fun of her and rooting for our favorites (Ali  & Tenley, since Elizabeth is gone now :().  Also, I got to hang out with a really good friend that I haven’t seen forEVER! She’s back in town for an internship for her last semester of school, so I’ll get to see her a lot more, too!
